Description
Finishes with lively acidity extending the flavors at the back
remaining incredibly young and primary and only just beginning to hit its stride
with texture and juice
Only the return of warmer weather at the start of September imbued the vintage with a freshness of great Chardonnay in tune with the subtly restrained power of Pinot Noir and a soupçon of rounded Meunier – that final little touch making the wine more pleasurable to drink soon
Jean Noel Gagnard, Chassagne Montrachet Boudriotte Blanc Vintage:2022 Finishes with lively acidity extending(from Les Chaumes). There is just enough wood present to remark upon setting off the penetrating nose of petrol, floral, white orchard fruit and subtle citrus nuances. The round and seductively textured, indeed even opulent, medium bodied flavors possess much more volume on the much more complex and persistent finish. While this should reward up to a decade of cellaring, it should also be reasonably approachable young. (90 93) 2024+
