the 2009 Ermitage Le Méal remains at the height of its charms

Bruno Giacosa's 2004 Barolo Croera is an excellent choice for drinking over the next decade or so

A gorgeous and ultra-elegant nose features violets

Despite that careful aromatic build up

Thunevin Calvet, Trois Marie Size:6x750ml the 2009 Ermitage Le MéalFrom a vintage that saw a fair bit of rain at the end of the season, the 2015 Ctes Du Roussillon Villages Les Trois Marie (65% Grenache and 35% Syrah) has lots of plum, tobacco, iron, and peppery herb like notes as well as a concentrated, powerful style on the palate. This is a ripe, textured, straight up sexy Roussillon with no hard edges and a great, great finish. It has at least another decade of prime drinking ahead of it.
