Poujeaux Vintage:1997 They used 80% new barrelsThis well known estate is now owned by Clos Fourtets Philippe Cuvelier, but the estate was owned by Jean Theil when the 2005 was conceived. This 2005 reveals a beautiful black cherry and cassis scented nose, with a touch of spring flowers, medium to full body, and supple tannin in a sexy, lush, heady style. A sleeper of the vintage, it is already approachable and satisfying, and can be drunk over the next 10 15 years.
