A Qing Dynasty "Vein Ebony" Library Table Sale Credit: V&A archive collectionA magnificent late 19th century Chinese vein or striped ebony library table. The solid inset top with engraved silver mounts above an unadorned curved frieze, raised on bold legs terminating in a robust ball foot. Excellent original condition. This rare table exhibits the clean minimalist form which is a hallmark of Ming and early Qing dynasty aesthetics, this now feels and looks contemporary in our eyes, would work well as a desk, sofa or side table.
