Description
I suspect that this will ultimately come together with 5-ish or so years of bottle age but it’s not clear that it will ultimately surpass either the Bâtard or the Chevalier
It was produced with 92% Mencía and up to 8% of white grapes
Very elegant and delicate on the palate
rustic and bitter cherry-inflected finish that is a bit clipped
Paul Pernot, Puligny Montrachet other_regions I suspect that this will(from 4 different separate lieux dits within Puligny and Blagny from vines that average 50 years of age). A smoky nose is composed mostly by notes of essence of pear and acacia blossom. The succulent, round and seductively textured medium bodied flavors possess better mid palate stuffing as well as better depth and length on the lingering finish that also flashes a hint of bitter lemon. This forward effort could easily be enjoyed young. 88 2022+
