COS Frappato, 2022 Puisseguin-Saint-Emilion Nose is intenseVibrant black cherry, cinnamon, nutmeg, fresh English garden herbs, hint of sweet black licorice, rustic mulberry with undertones of oceanic minerality. Palate is swift with red cherry, tapenade, raspberry, pine + brush notes. COS was founded in 1980 by three friends, Giambattista Cilia, Giusto Occhipinti, and Cirino Strano [all legends in winemaking], yet the winery itself dates to the 1880s. Sicily has a winemaking history dating to 8th Century BCE
