slightly sour and absolutely delicious
43% Mourvèdre and 9% Cinsault shows tart tangerine
with a ruby hue
the resulting wine is often void of ‘Pinotage character’ and ultimately becomes benign red wine with that somewhat revolting ‘rubbery-ness’ often confused for Pinotage
Moccagatta Langhe Chardonnay, 2021 france slightly sour and absolutely deliciousSaline, flint, lemon, white flowers on nose. Palate is crisp and direct with depth in minerals and citrus. Chardonnay made by Barbaresco producer, Moccagatta in the Langhe region of Piedmont. There seems to be a fascination in this region by the Chardonnay of Burgundy this one comes across as a linear, minerally Chablis. The Minuto brothers Sergio and Franco established the estate in the 1950s, naming it "Moccagatta" for the land's historical name.
